Vehicle Insurance
The insurance of our vehicles is "simple liability".
This means that if the client causes an accident, the insurance company is going to compensate only the sufferer, thus the client is going to pay for the vehicle damage (except if there is a non-fault insurance agreement made beforehand).
Furthermore, if the client returns to the rented vehicle and finds it damaged in any way, they will have to cover the expenses as well (unless there is a non-fault insurance agreement made beforehand).
The non-fault insurance covers all damages that may happen to the car except if there is a damage either in the windscreen or in the down part of the car or in the tires.
Additional Road Assistance
It amounts to €5 per day and covers inaccessible areas.
The term 'inaccessible areas' refers to the areas marked D on the map.
In those areas, without the extra assistance, the road assistance will be free only in case of an accident.
Accident
In case of an accident the client is obligated to inform the company and the police and adduce the log sheet of the event upon delivery of the vehicle.
Fines & Other Payments
Fines and other consequences are the responsibility of the client and they need to pay them to the respective authorities or private entities (e.g. tolls) and adduce the payment receipt upon delivery of the vehicle.
If they fail to comply, they will also be charged an extra amount of €15 referred to as "Incident Report Expenses".
Fuel
The value of fuel is paid by the client.
The client is obligated to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel that was available when he received the car.
The company will not make any refund if the vehicle is returned with more fuel.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the customer has to pay the amount of fuel missing and the fine for refueling, which is €15.
In one-day rentals, you will be asked to show the receipt of the fuel.
Extra Driver
The first extra driver is offered for free.
The driver registered on the lease is the only person allowed to drive the vehicle.
The company has every right to request the return of the car if it is discovered that someone not registered on the lease is driving it without informing our office.
If it is noticed that there are more passengers in the vehicle than allowed, the company has every right to request the return of the vehicle and, in addition to the money for all rental days, will charge the client an amount of €200 as a fine for excessive damage to the vehicle.
Driver Age Limit
The driver needs to be over 18 years old, have an acceptable license in Greece, and one that is registered more than a year ago.
This responsibility burdens the client and if the license does not fit the qualifications, no refund will be made.
Vehicle Usage
The vehicle can be used only by the people referred to in the contract.
Sea Transfer
To travel by boat with the car, the client needs a written permission from our offices.
The insurance does not cover any damages that might be caused during the vehicle's transportation.
If the vehicle is transported without the company’s approval, the client will have to pay a fine of €500.
Regarding the island of Kimolos:
Moving one of our vehicles to Kimolos is allowed but the road assistance services are not available for free.
The company holds no responsibility for the time the client must wait for the road assistance to come to Kimolos.
If the car needs to be towed, the responsibility and the expenses burden the customer.
Regarding other islands:
Moving one of our vehicles to any other islands is banned, and the company will take legal action in that case.
Also, moving one of our vehicles to another island without the company’s knowledge is banned and the company will also take legal action in that case.
Extra insurance packages are not available while moving to another island and the car will need to be checked before departure and after return.
If the customer does not agree to meet to check the condition of the car, the extra insurance will not be activated and all damages will burden the customer.
Road assistance services are not available in those islands and all expenses burden the customer, so the car returns to Milos.
The company holds no responsibility in any damage or mechanical error that the car may present while being on another island.
The car will only be checked by the company’s authorized mechanic in Milos.
In any case, the expenses will burden the customer.
The company holds no responsibility if an accident happens on another island and takes no liability in case of physical harm to the customers involved, even if it is due to the car’s equipment malfunction which the client may have ignored in order not to return to Milos.
If the car is not returned by the time scheduled, the company will proceed with legal action and call the authorities.
In case of an accident on another island, the customer is responsible for calling the company and the authorities and completing all necessary paperwork. Otherwise, the company will take legal action against the customer.
Km Limits
No km limit.
Kid’s Seat
There is no extra charge for a kid’s seat, but you need to request it and there needs to be one available.
Its installation is the responsibility of the renter.
Vehicle Keys
In case the client loses or damages a key, they will have to cover the expenses for replacing or fixing it.
Keys are not covered by any extra insurance.
Road assistance does not cover any case of being locked out of the car.
In this case, the renter has to find and pay a qualified road assistance to unlock the car.
Receiving the Vehicle
When the client receives a vehicle, they will check its condition.
Upon delivery, the vehicle should be in the same state, otherwise the client will need to pay for the damage, except if there is another party to blame which is identified or there is extra insurance made beforehand.
If a fault in the safety systems (loose belts or an airbag light) is observed upon receipt or during the rental period, it is the customer’s responsibility to inform the company and immediately return the vehicle for replacement.
The company is not liable if the customer neglects the above.
Secure Deposit
The secure deposit is €150 for the Fiat Panda category, €500 for the Suzuki Vitara and KIA NIRO, and €200 for the rest of the categories.
The secure deposit will be returned after the drop-off check of the car.
The secure deposit will be taken even if the customer has chosen extra insurance or CDW.
Regarding Theft
There is a possibility of not charging for the theft of the car only if it is declared during the rental process and the amount is €5 per day.
This insurance does not cover the theft of the client’s personal belongings that may have been inside the vehicle.
The company holds no responsibility for these situations and does not cover the price of the items that may be stolen.
Meeting Outside of Office Hours
If the customer wishes for delivery or return of the vehicle between 21:05 and 07:00, they must pay the company an amount of €15 per meeting.
Delivering the Vehicle
If the client misses the scheduled return time by more than 30 minutes, the company has the right to charge for a full extra day.
Cancellation Policy
If the cancellation takes place 30 or more days prior to the client’s arrival date, we offer a full refund (other expenses will be paid by the client, e.g. bank transfer fees).
If cancelled 29 to 15 days prior to arrival, we offer a 50% refund (other expenses will be paid by the client).
If cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival, we offer no refund.
Clients who have used discount codes or coupons do not receive any refund after the 29-day period before the booking.
Cancellation Due to Bad Weather
If the client is not able to get to the island by any means of transportation and wants to cancel, the company will offer a partial refund.
However, if there is at least one transportation option available to access the island from the client’s departure point, no refund will be issued.
Return After Receipt of the Vehicle
In the event of a non-mechanical failure or no warning light being displayed on the vehicle, if the customer decides to return the vehicle early, the company is not obliged to compensate them.
